Rani disagreed with the rating and said:
While it's brief, there is actually a moment where Terk and her mother talk about something other than Tarzan. Near the beginning of the film, when Kala first adopts Tarzan, you can hear Terk trying to negotiate with her mother to let her stay up for a few more minutes.

I'm with Rani on this one.

In addition, while Terk and Kala talk about Tarzan, he's a baby, not a man or even a boy. The rule is talking about a man, not a male.

If we don't count young males as men, should we count young females as women? Terk's about four when that exchange takes place.

Rhiannon disagreed with the rating and said:
I think it just about scrapes a pass on all three - Terk (as an adult) and Kala have a brief exchange a little before the scene where Tarzan fights Sabor. Terk says "Hey Auntie K, you're looking remarkably well groomed today," to which Kala replies "Hello, Terk."

To me the movie passes the 3 tests, I agree with Rhiannon.

They are a lot of movies on this sites that passes the 3 tests because of a female named character saying something and another female named character answering something other than a man. So it should be rated on 3/3 even if it doesn't seem to be much, just to be fair with the other ratings.

Anon disagreed with the rating and said:
There are only 2 women in the entire movie: Tarzan's mother (who is only seen in the beginning) and Jane (who arrives on the island over a decade after Tarzan's mother dies). Neither of them had even seen each other, let alone held a conversation of any kind. Terk and all the other female characters are not women so they don't count.

Overall, Disney's Tarzan only scores 1/3.

I disagree with the rating, this definitely passes as listed above. Sorry Anon, but the gorillas count as female characters.

I agree with Rhiannon, technically one single exchange between Kala and Terk counts.
