The movie is starring two female android characters named Thia and Tessa, with one being in the female leading role and the other being the primary antagonist.
They talk to each other about their mission on the "death planet" Genna to capture an alien specimen for the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, their respective survival when they got separated, how Tessa believed that her trying to protect Thia was a mistake that had endangered the mission, about Thia's experiences traveling the planet and about their relationship, with Thia expressing how they could be "sisters" and more than just corporate drones.
There's also an AI overseer with a female voice, called MU/TH/UR, who Tessa is repeatedly reporting to.
