Seriously? No conversations that touch on things like the bar or how to be a bartender? No celebratory chat after ending a fight by singing on a bar? What about the first discussion between the bar owner and Jersey where they pretty much just talk about her job prospects? It's a low bar, so I'm pretty sure this one walks over it (but just barely).

The bar staff's conversations form the bulk of the movie, most of them only briefly mention Kevin or Mr. Sanford or vaguely alude to boyfriends, and are primarily about the employees and bartending. And considering the clientele is clearly both male and female, mentioning the customers in these conversations can't count.

I can't totally disagree with the rating since they talk about men so often, however there is a lot of talk on how to bartend properly and frivolous non-male talk. That being said, the object is to get men to buy more drinks therefore spending more money so the underlying topic is usually men.

Lil: I'm married to that bar. Hell, I'd, uh, I'd sleep there, if I had the guts to walk around barefoot. But that's me, you know. I'm the original coyote. Just a small town gal trying to make it in the big bad city.
Violet: Small town gal?
Lil: Piedmont, North Dakota. You ever tell anyone that, I'll kill ya.
