I think this film actually passes the third rule too. Anna talks to Moonshe (sp?) at the market about how when they first arrived in Siam, they feared going there, but how to Anna, the place is starting to feel like home. Two women, talking to one another, about something other than a man. I also seem to remember Anna speaking to Tuptim about other things before Tuptim asked about Anna's deceased husband.

Now that I'm rewatching the film, there's also a scene in which Anna confronts Lord and Lady Bradley, and while she speaks to them both within the conversation, she directly addresses Lady Bradley when speaking about Britain and its interests. A servant named Phim also comes to her house to beg her to help Tuptim without mentioning any men. So there are several other scenes of named women speaking to one another.
