MRS RYAN doesn't really count as one named female character, in my book. Fans of the book say her name is "Alice" while fans of the movie call her "Meg". She really isn't that important.

No it doesn't pass, but the fact that this movie doesn't pass only goes to show how little this test really means. You wouldn't expect a movie about World War II solders to have very many women in it.

Clearly, some movies are exempt from it, when they clearly call for an all-male (or all-female) cast. This is meant as an easy way to judge movies, ESPECIALLY the ones that SHOULD pass but do not.
