The daughter in question, Valerie, has a couple of friends of the same gender, but I'm not sure they're even named within the movie. They're always talking about boys at any rate.
Despite that, the movie does pass clearly through the scene where Valerie has a conversation with a stripper, Sunny, about dancing.
