Elvis is a compulsive gambler with poor luck in-between singing and as usual has at least two women lusting after him.
There are multiple female characters and four of them (Frankie, Mitzi, Nellie, Peg) talk to each other quite frequently, but it's always bemoaning their love interests' vices or, if they're after the same guy, catty conversations over him.
