A high school senior, Greg, has been dating Nicole, a cheerleader, for two years when he cheats on her with a girl named Emily from a poor side of town. Emily becomes pregnant, and fearing the loss of his college football scholarship, Greg kills Emily. By chance, Nicole makes friends with Emily’s mother, and they begin a close relationship in which Nicole finds a motherly relationship due to her own mother being distant, and Emily’s mother seeing Emily in Nicole. There are many conversations between multiple women and a majority of them are not about men. Greg is sentenced to life in prison at the end of the movie.
