Though a saucy Carry On about a beauty contest and with some cheesecake shots it has several named women characters who talk with each other. Mildred joins a feminist group run by Augusta, and Augusta speaks with Rosemary who is part of the group. Hope and Paula straighten out a misunderstanding about Paula's fiancé and his stunt of dressing as a woman, then speak of Paula's idea of entering the beauty contest.
The feminists are no more stereotyped than anyone else in the film and they are presented as the winners in the final confrontation at the beauty contest. Augusta and Connie are presented as accomplished and successful women. Augusta is a feminist supported by her young son and who speaks positively about her late husband.
The film contains a lot of cheesecake shots of the women in bikinis and a cat fight during which a bikini top is pulled off.
