Bechdel Test Movie List

Its a movie about destroying a planet, so it is quite hard to tell what would be considered what in their conversations.

Near the end, Kiri rescues Neytiri and Tuk, telling them to put on that glowy thing she's wearing.

I am fairly sure there are multiple times were two women have a conversation about something other then a man

Aren’t there multiple convos between characters that aren’t about men? Netiryi asking Ronal for help when Kiri is in her coma, Tuk telling Neteryi she wants to go home, Tuk dragging Kiri outside to see the Tulkun. There are more but these a few that came to mind.

The mom and daughter speak to each other, and so do the two teenage girls.

I feel like it does pass the test though. Because at one point Neytiri asks Kiri "What is wrong?" and Kiri responds, "Why cant I just be like everybody else." or something like that. Or is that interaction not long enough for the movie to pass?

I disagree with this rating. There are definitely conversations between two females that aren't about a man, I mean the movie is 3 hours and 12 minutes long. For instance, there is a conversation between Kiri and Moat about the best healing methods. So, I think this movie passes the test.

how does this not pass the test exactly? It meets all requirements, does it not?

It passed. Many of the females( from Neytiri to Ronal and Mo’at to Kiri) speak to each other about different subjects. From what herbs to use, to the role of Tsy’hek, and to come see an amazing display of whales! It even had Sigourney Weaver talking to herself about how much she loves her to her self!
Definitely passed.

Ahem, can this please be updated to a 3 of 3, as it obviously passes, per the comments above?

Mediaversity Reviews says that "practically all conversations between [Neytiri, Tuk and Kiri] revolve around Jake and the RDA". Besides, "[Jake] does most of the talking" and Neytiri is "either shouting in fear...or weeping in despair...[like]...her daughters Tuk and Kiri". Unfortunately, this shouting is not to other women, but the audience.
