There are more than two named female characters in this film, most notably main character Sophie Scholl. Already in the first scene of the film, Sophie talks to her friend Gisela, about when and where to meet again. Their conversation also involves a man, but not exclusively. Sophie also talks to Else, the communist with whom she shares a cell, about liberation, politics, freedom, dreams, and the process against herself and her brother. The film clearly passes the Bechdel test.
