In the second part of the film (Lola's early years), Lola arrives to a ship with her mother. On their boat journey to the ship, Lola's mother (Mrs. Craigie) talks to her about her daughter's tendencies to day dream. Having arrived to the ship, Lola talks with her mother that they have to sleep in separate dormitories. The reason for this arrangement is a male character, but it is not explicitly stated, so the conversation definitely makes the film pass the test. There are not many such scenes in the film, however, but this is because Lola Montès is, at its heart, a story about a woman subjected to the gaze and power of men. Regardless, the film passes the test because of these scenes between Lola and her mother, who is named in the film (Mrs. Craigie).
