Bechdel Test Movie List

The majority of the movies is comprised of female characters. They talk about a large variety of subjects without mentioning men.

The movie has several female characters who are dynamic and deal with a lot of issues in the movie without focusing on men.

I think that the movie did a great job in terms of representation. There were many conversations/interactions between female characters that are not about men, therefore it passes the test. The film, however, did include some tropes/stereotypes but I think they didn’t mean any bad intentions.

While there is a lot of discussion of crushes(specifically on a boy band,) there’s a lot of conversations about Meilin’s red panda form and the friendship between the main girls

Mei and her mother talk about the red panda that is the family legacy, and Mei also talks with her friends about her panda and about earning money to go to a concert (even though they do talk a lot about a boy band they like).
