Bechdel Test Movie List

There are three female characters, Catwoman, Ice Princess and Poodle Lady. They never speak to each other as far as I know. Although is hinted that Catwoman and Ice Princess talked to each other about letting Princess go the conversation itself happened offscreen.

I'm not sure 'The Ice Princess' counts as a named character - it seems to me that her character is a model portaying a city mascot, rather than that being her actual title - and I feel strongly that 'Poodle Lady' does not, but there is another female character who introduces herself to the penguin as 'Jen' so I think this movie does pass the first test.

The review is correct, it passes none of the test. Ice Princess and Poodle Lady are not NAMES. There is no on-screen conversation between female characters.

Catwoman speaks to a woman she saves from a mugger but it's about "always waiting for some Batman" to save you.

Does catwomans mum count? I mean they do kind of have a conversation through a voice message but I may be wrong

Passes test 1 (barely). Penguin's mother Esther Cobblepot is named on her tombstone and Penguin is introduced to 'Jen' an image consultant working on his mayoral campaign.

Agree with rating on tests 2 and 3, it does not pass either.

I don't think it's fair to discount The Poodle Lady as not having a name. Everyone in the Red Triangle Gang uses circus names - their true identities are hidden as they're criminals. The Strong man, Organ Grinder, Thin Clown, Fat Clown, The Poodle Lady.
Carl is correct as well, The PR lady is called Jen.

This does not pass the technical Bechdel test nor the spirit of it.
Its a male-focused movie and the women are mostly under the power of men in some form or another. The only strong woman is kind of an angry feminist type who just wants to hurt and kill the men who attacked her. She doesn't have much character beyond that.
