Most notably, Frances McDormand's character, Lucinda, talks to Lyna Khoudri's character, Juliette, about politics and how to stop pointless bickering with Chalamet's character. While this is in close relation to a man, the general message and point of the conversation serve as a broader commentary about arbitrary political debates between individuals on the same side.

I disagree with the previous comment - the final point of Lucinda's (Frances McDormand's) character speaking to Juliette was to tell Juliette (Lyna Khoudri) to sleep with Zeffirelli (Timothee Chalamet).

In this conversation, the political bickering is represented as repressed sexual tension, and the solution McDormand/Lucinda proposes is for the two of them to go make love. Which they do. So, hard for me to see how this conversation passes the test.

I disagree that this film passes the test, especially this mentioned scene for the same reasons as the other dissenting posters.

I'd like to add the the dissent: CJ H's evidence for the film passing the test specifically references a conversation about a man. Possibly this film could pass on a technicality with Tilda Swinton's character discussing the frescos with "Maw" - does it count that they are discussing the art, not the artist?
