I agree with the submitted comment, but too feel the film barely pass.
Which make me a but frustrated because of the subject of the main story that even have a true history behind.
I would have wished Affleck and Damon and Ridley could have cared better for the womens side of a story like this.
Scene 2 (baaarely): Marguerite and her friend Marie talk about buying a dress. However, Marie quickly mentions how her husband would be upset with her for buying the dress. If you cut out this part, I guess they have a sentence where theyre not talking about a man?
Scene 3: There is a brief scene between Marguerite and Marie where Marie is worried about Marguerites state of mind, and announces that she is pregnant. I dont remember the whole conversation but I thiiink they dont explicitly mention their husbands.
Scene 4: (the scene I am actually willing to give the movie a pass for): Marguerite and Nicole have a difficult conversation about r*pe. Although this indirectly implies the presence of men I found it to be a very intimate and female-centric conversation.
I am not 100% sure about this one but it seems to come so close, especially given the movies subject matter (you know if youve seen it).
