What a brilliantly odd film! Anyone familiar with Lynch knows what to expect here. The film passed the Bechdel test very well. There are lots of female-female conversations about things that are not men.
The women in this film talk about opening new dimensions with a cigarette and a silk cloth, stabbing themselves with a screwdriver, mysterious corridors down an old Polish street--and, of course, they talk about (in a slavic accent) "BRUTAL FUCKING MURDER!!!"
