This is not a "good" movie, but it is awesome. While most dialogue centers around the relationship of Lisa and Johnny, Lisa and her mother Claudette briefly talk about Claudette's real estate problems, failed relationships, and breast cancer. Lisa and her friend Michelle talk about preparations for an upcoming birthday party.

It is true that the two of them talk about the breast cancer, etc. but it serves no function in the plot. And the birthday they are planning is Johnny's.

Oh come on.
Half of the dialogues in this movie were ''unnecessary''

Claudette's real estate problems is related to her relationship with her brother, which is mentioned a lot of times. Her failed relationships is hardly not related to a man. The breast cancer talk might qualify but it's a four second talk and is quickly shut down by Lisa - who wants to talk about Johnny!

Lisa and Michelles talk is about a birthday party for Johnny and quickly shifts to be about relationships.

Still a fantastic film, though.

The only things the women talk about are other men. Claudette's real estate problems involve disputes with her brother. Failed relationships obviously involve other me. And the upcoming party is a surprise party for Johnny.

Every conversation between the women centers around men. In fact, even the issue of Claudette "definitely having breast cancer" is immediately forgotten and never mentioned again in order to talk about Johnny.

The film checks 2 boxes, but not the third, as each conversation if painfully orchestrated in order to focus on guy talk.

I don't think Lisa and Claudette's conversation should count. Claudette says only one line about her breast cancer.

Her preceding line is about her brother Harold and her following line is about her ex-husband Edward. The rest of the conversation is about Johnny.

When Lisa and Michelle talk about the preparations it is for Tommy's party, I don't know if it counts.

This is just an excuse to watch the film again, of course. It wins the Bechdel Test because of these scenes
1- At 27:00 Lisa and Claudette discuss the division of Claudette's house and Claudette's recently knowing that she has breast cancer.
2- At 44:00 they speak about Lisa's love and sexual life.
3- At 49:00 Claudette brings out to her conversation to Lisa a female friend of hers that has trouble with the downpayment for a house.
4- 1:11:00 Michelle and Lisa about Lisa's love life.
5- At 1:15:00 Claudette speaks about his abusive long-gone marriage.
6- At 1:21:00 Michelle is outraged when Lisa admits that she has made up her pregnancy to make things interesting. Pete Second Version is also in this conversation.
