Elizabeth Olson is a FBI agent, but only briefly speaks to another female character (Jeremy Renner's Chacter's Mother in Law) about getting lent a jacket for the cold.
It's a brief encounter, but still counts.

She doesn't speak to the other three main female characters:
The female victim who is only featured in a graphic murder/rape flashback.
The mother of the victim (who does not speak) and is grieving in the most extreme ways.
Jeremy Renner's Character's Wife.

Agent Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olson) speaks with the former mother-in-law Alice Crowheart (Tantoo Cardinal) while dressing in the borrowed winter clothing of Alice’s deceased granddaughter. They discuss dressing properly in the region’s cold weather, and Alice awkwardly reminds Agent Banner that the clothes don’t belong to her.

Not dubious at all. Jane and Alice's conversation about Natalie's snow gear is not only not about a man, it is a crucial conversation the film would not be the same without.
