It doesn't match which show that the bechtal test is NOT infact intersectional in the slightest.

There are three named women in the film: Teresa, Paula, and Samantha. Only Teresa and Paula have speaking roles, and they never speak to each other. Principal Williams is named only in the credits, and is only shown speaking to Chiron.

Arguably, it demonstrates how irrelevant female characters are in any film that receives critical acclaim. It also shows that the act of women of colour talking to each other is just as threatening to male supremacy as that between any women of the world.

You say "not [infact] intersectional in the slightest" as if the test has ever claimed to be intersectional. It's only a low-bar test to check for the most basic interactions between women characters not involving men. That's why there exist a litany of other similarly constructed tests to check other social identity interactions.

First of all, this movie is most definitely intersectional. Not all movies have to pass the test. The test is not a meter of whether or not the movie is diverse or not. A personal story of a gay black man with only a few characters does not need to feature a woman/woman conversation that is not about a man in order for it to be a socially decent movie.

even when something is about females people make it about other stuff. this test is not about diversity or intersectionality it's about W O M E N.

I don't think the fact that this film does not pass the test makes it a sexist film. The important parts of the film involve the side character's interactions with Chiron, and when they don't, it's a situation that involves Chiron's well being. For example, the only time Kevin is talking to someone who isn't Chiron is in a conversation that will directly affect Chiron (the scene when the bully asks Kevin to beat up someone of the bully's choosing).
