A gifted Indian woman prosecutor cross-examines an illiterate widow and other witnesses during a high stakes censorship trial over jailing an elderly protest singer. Drama increases because it is the woman lawyer who is pro-censorship, yet appears as an underpaid working mother who lovingly cooks for her family after a long day. A woman judge, and other female legal professionals, also appear.
