Room passes the Bechdel test because Joy talks to her mother after she escapes, and it's interesting because they talk about her healing and coping with life after being abducted but all of her trauma is caused by her abductor/rapist. In the scene 1:24:00-1:27:00 where Joy is having a deeply depressed moment and is taking out her frustration by exploding on her mother and Jack, she says that her mother is at fault for causing her abduction. She references her abductor who is a man, but I think most of the conversation had with Joy's mother are more so about her trauma and healing.
Several key scenes between Joy "Ma" Newsome and Nancy Newsome (Joy's mother)-including a pivotal scene where they discuss the effects of the trauma on their own relationship.
