One named female character in the entire movie: a girl who's kidnapped and then raped onscreen. She gets one line of dialogue, though admittedly it's a pretty good line. All other named characters are men; there's one other significant female character, and she's a murder victim seen only in flashback. This is entirely a film about men's relationships with other men.

I agree with the rating but I think there was an additional (third) female character and she was the one that Bridger left food for at the camp that has been pillaged. This wasn't Glass' wife or the rape victim I don't believe.
Also, there was a woman at the end who may have been the rape victim but she didn't say anything and I'm not sure if she was the rape victim.

To be fair there were maybe 3 people in the movie with dialogue, the rest was Leonardo DiCaprio limping around the woods for 2 hours

Powaqa gets one line of dialogue, directed at a man. Glass' wife, who is literally listed as "wife of Hugh Glass" in credits, speaks only to him in flashbacks/visions. Older native woman who never says a word and is on screen for all of 20 seconds.
