This is presumably about her running away with Ben, at the very end of the movie (last spoken lines actually).

It is interesting that The Graduate only passes the "talk to each other" test in the last two lines of dialog, as though the women's selves just barely mattered. On the other hand, this last exchange of words is especially meaningful, with an impact something like Lear's "Never, ever, ever" as he mourns the loss of his beloved Cordelia, whose death he brought about by his own vain and selfish behavior. I agree without reserves that The Graduate passes.
