This film is extremely interesting because it dissects misogyny as a mental illness.
The POV is very close to James Stewart, but the one moment that it breaks is pivotal, and turns Stewart from a sympathetic progatonist into an abuser who expects the world to revolve around him.
With most films that don't pass the Bechdel test, I consider what could have been done to make it pass, and whether it would have improved the film. Generally, I can find a couple characters that could have been cast as women and would have improved the film dramatically.
In this film, the gender is important to all of the principle characters, and I think that adding interactions that don't revolve around Stewart's character might actually harm the film.
