About 5 minutes into the film, soon after introducing the lead character, Alison Drake, an old school chum, Harriet, drops in on her. Alison explains her philosophy of relationships to Harriet shortly thereafter, without talking about any specific man (the male love interest shows up later in the film).

This is an example of a "pre code" Hollywood film with a strong female character exploring unconventional relationships.

Probably the most misogynistic movie to pass the test. This film centers on a strong willed woman who runs her own company and makes a deliberate point of expressing sexual agency. This is all solely build-up for her being ruthlessly and painstakingly tamed by a man into becoming a housewife with lots of kids.

And yet, she has multiple named female friends that she has long conversations with.
