There are precisely two female characters in this movie; they are named only in passing and are promptly killed off before they have a chance to talk about anything other than the soldiers who have invaded their home.

I knew from the moment I first saw the trailer that this movie would not come anywhere close to passing the bechdel test. Then again, why should it? There is no person who cares more about this test than I do, but the thing is that this film is set in the times of World War II, when women were treated as mere housewives and tools, and weren't allowed anywhere near joining the army. Nowadays you see women soldiers everywhere, but times were much different then. If you include women in the movie, you would be more female-friendly, but it would ruin the historical context, as it wouldn't properly portray the times of WWII. It's like taking the word "nigger" out of Huckleberry Finn. Yes, it's an extremely racist word and must never be used as an insult, but back when the story was written, that's how people spoke, so removing that world would ruin the historical setting of the story. This applies to Fury as well.

I won't fault the movie for failing the test. However I felt that home invasion sequence and its many implications were creepy. Yeah let's have the girl be forced to sleep with a stranger (so noble of our hero to actually have sex with her in that situation), only to reveal she kind of liked it and have her tragically die moments later ... just gross
