Except the mother of Michael and Jason, who is not named (her sons call her mother, or the mother), the movie do not had any female protagonist.
To the defense of the movie, it is documentary like movie based on real story about the gypsies community, out of jail return and 3/4 of the movie is set in a stolen car.
Great movie if you are interested by modern gypsies in western Europe.
For me it fall in the prison and submarine movie, it not like they didn't try, it is just not possible to give place to woman in those setting.
