Billie Jean Davy is a working-class, trailer-dwelling, proto-feminist protagonist and a true 80's badass. With her back against a wall she comes out strong and shows real courage in the face of sexual harassment, sexual abuse, class discrimination, domestic abuse, media slander, slut shaming and any other obstacles that get her way to become a real working-class feminist hero.
Three of the main characters are women and all important female characters who discuss plot-relevant things regularly.
