Arguably the two protagonists are male, connected by a central female character, Marie. Has several named women who talk to each other: Marie and her daughters Lucie and Lea. While Marie and Lucie admittedly fight over two men (Marie's boyfriends) in their conversations, they also discuss Marie's fiance's comatose wife frequently (though mostly in relation to the fiance). Marie and Lea have some friendly small talk, eg. when Marie returns home and greets her children.
