The movie has four named characters who are women. They mostly talk to men. When they do talk to one another, they are usually talking about the male hero, or about the male villain, or about men who are acting as early Christian leaders.

Soon after the emperor Nero's banquet, the heroine Lygia has a few seconds of dialogue with Nero's slave and former lover Acte. Acte shows that she is familiar with some aspects of Christianity. When other characters show up, Acte immediately changes the conversation to be about Nero instead.

This movie does not pass the test. The conversations are always about (direct or indirect) about men.
