Though they center around a woman's quest for vengeance against her former mentor/lover - the titular Bill - and thus involve many instances of women conversing about a man (or what a man ordered them to do), Kill Bill Vols. 1 & 2 pass the Bechdel Test swimmingly. There are a number of examples of women talking to one another about something other than a man (though less so in Vol. 2 vs. Vol. 1, as in Vol. 2, 2/3 of The Bride's primary adversaries are men).

In Volume 2, these include:

* The Bride and rival assassin Karen Kim have each been sent on a mission to kill one another. Kim breaks into The Bride's hotel room - right after The Bride's taken a home pregnancy test and discovered that she's pregnant. The Bride pleads for her life, as well as that of her unborn fetus, proposing a compromise: they each walk away, leaving the other unharmed, letting their colleagues believe that Kim killed the Bride. In turn, The Bride will slip away and start a new life.

* Elle Driver and The Bride taunt one another as they fight (though some of this involves their mentor, Pai Mei, as well as Bill).

* The Bride and daughter B.B. share several mother/daughter moments and exchanges, such as "playing dead" and reading a bedtime story.

The movie also passes the Reverse Bechdel Test. Tommy and Bill talk about Bill's arrival, though Beatrix (as Arlene) comes up occasionally. Bud and Larry also talk, and Bud and Bill talk, although Beatrix comes up occasionally.
