This film has one semi-prominent female character named Kai (Charlotte Sullivan) who is in a relationship with the male protagonist. She does not have her own storyline or contribute in any way to the development of the plot, except for mimicking the protagonist's actions. She does not communicate directly with any other female characters. She also constantly appears in full rockstar makeup and an elaborately styled hairdo, which is odd considering the setting is a post-apocalyptic underground colony where people are struggling for food, let alone hairspray & mascara.
