There are exactly two female characters in this movie. Both of them are central to the plot: One of them is named Red Bean, the other is her mother. I'm not sure if she has a proper name: She's only referred to in the movie as "mother" or "granny" insofar as i can remember... at least in the dubbed version. However, her role in the movie is important enough to count her as a major character, especially for the purposes of the test, which is to measure quantity of representations of women in film.

If you count the mother, she and Red Bean have several exchanges, one in particular is a conversation that lasts over a minute. They talk entirely about stolen jewels until the last couple seconds of their dialogue, when they mention two men... but they're not talking about them, they're trying to figure out how to steal a valuable necklace:

Red bean says, "why are we arguing over these trinkets?" the master of the house has a priceless necklace

the mother says they should hurry up and steal it.

red bean says, "but first I have to figure out a way to get around his bodyguard" (a male).

They may not really be talking about men, but they mention them. And depending on how particular you are, you might not even count the mother since she doesn't have a proper name even though she's a central character.

So - Dubious.
