The main character of the movie is a preteen school girl who mostly talks to her mother, her classmates and schoolteachers about subjects including but not limited to men, such as school contests, elections and bicycles.

Yes, and to add to the list of topics that named female characters discuss and demonstrate in Wadjda are religious practices for the Saudi women in the story: practices of veiling, of handling their copies of the Koran (as the English subtitles spell it), of reciting verses from the Koran, and of marrying or dealing with men. It's a truly positive film that explores a female culture from the insdie, unseen before, without sacrificing its story or its female character development to serve a message.

Unfortunately, the mother and the Koran teacher do not have names. The principal talks with Wadjda about appropriate items to bring to school, the contest, and her appearance and behavior. The principal, Ms. Hussa, does not have a first name in the film.

No problem finding named female character discussions here: Wadjda's classmate characters Fatin and Fatima talk to Wadjda about becoming the school's "favorite convert"; Noura verbally teases Salma about her appearance in class; Abeer has a conversation with W about hiring her to deliver her exit card and about Wadjda's rates for doing favors for others; and finally, Leila, Wadjda's mother's friend, talks to Wadjda about how she feels about school and how much she has grown, etc.
