Of the two main protagonists, one, Tina, is female. She has a couple of conversations with named women in the movie. She talks with her mother, Carol, a number of times, and whilst many of the conversations are about her relationship with the other protagonist, Chris, she also talks about her dog (in the opening scene in particular). Tina also talks briefly to a woman caravanner, Janice, about the decoration of a caravan, and the diet of Janice's dog, Banjo.
