Kay and Dot have an extended conversation about Jerry, but then are interrupted when Dot receives a call from a gentleman caller asking her to go out with him. Kay declines to go. When Dot hangs up, she asks for Kay's cigarette and Dot asks her to go with her, as she'd hate to go alone. Kay responds that she doesn't care for those things anymore, as she now fancies herself a high roller and says she's a woman who is now going to have her portrait painted (because earlier, Jerry hired her to pose for his painting). Dot responds that she's going to spend the evening eating caviar. Kay responds that just because it's free doesn't mean she should eat it, otherwise she'll gain weight and "they" won't come calling anymore. Dot replies that "you can't weigh sex appeal."

The conversation is largely about circumstances arising because of men (their gentleman callers) but is focused more on the girls' perception of themselves and the things they plan on doing, and not specifically about men.
