There are two scenes where Sally talks to her mother, but both times are about Edward Blake.

Edward Blake is part of at least one of those conversations, but the other is clearly about Laurie's upbringing, and how she became Silk Spectre II. It was about the relationship between Laurie and Sally. (And, incidentally, Laurie is Sally's daughter, not the other way around.)

Laurie and Sally do have a conversation about their relationship and Laurie's upbringing. Though it is in part about Laurie's parentage, Eddie Blake is not the focus of the conversation. Considering that movies with much less substantive interactions between female characters wind up passing the test, I can't see how Watchmen doesn't as well.

Sally and Laurie do talk about Eddie Blake, but they do talk about other things, and not only him. The test states that the characters should talk about something besides a man - not that they can't talk about a man as well.

The famous "four legged chicken" line was being spoken by a woman to another woman.
