There are no named female characters in in movie that won 4 Oscars. There are 4 unnamed female characters without dialogue referred as Village Chief's Wife and Daughter, Old Woman and Rape Victim.

Sure there were no named female characters, but one thing to think about is that this movie took place in the Vietnam war and women weren't allowed to fight in Vietnam. I'm not saying that I don't agree with the bechdel test it's just that I think that there are exceptions
