surely it passes all three tests, as there are both male and female members in the group of cloaked villagers at the end, they all discuss a baby and the greater good revealing their parts in the plan to trap the police officer.

But I thought that the female characters had to be named, not just extras or insignificant characters (members of the group of cloaked villagers).

I agree with JemJem. The group of cloaked villagers contains named female characters (that soon take off their hoods), not just extras.

So, are the women in the group at the end talking "to each other" or were they talking to the group? I think talking "to each other" is where the sense that the second requirement is met by a conversation.

It passes at least two of the tests, because all of the women in the NWA are named in the film (I just can't recall all their names off the top of my head) and there are a few times (outside the meeting) where two of the females talk, but I think at the time they were talking about Sgt Angel.

I suppose the only question is does the Bechdel test apply if the women are talking to each other in mixed company or in scenes with no men present. They do talk directly to each other - and of note, there's about 2 characters in the whole movie without a 'name', albeit most are given in the script/credits rather than mentioned.

i think that it just about passes as when they take the supermarket doris hits the woman on the intercom ( she does have a name i just can't rember it) and danny does point out a sexist phrase in the film at the end. while women are not any of the leaders they do have plenty of named female characters, it could be better but i think that it does just pass
