Fio and Gina are the two prominent named female characters don't talk onscreen (but the epilogue says they become friends). Fio talks to an old lady but I don't know if she's named. Pointing out that this should not negated the female character's importance/personality or presence though. Gina and Fio both have interesting personalities, Fio builds the plane and there are many women who help put it together.
