Bechdel Test Movie List

The very first "joke" in the movie is a dig at the perceived promiscuity of a nameless leather clad female, who serves as a foil to introduce how cool or badass or whatever the main villain must be.

Shortly after, the viewer is introduced to another character who is of apparently high rank in the MIB universe.

I don't know, maybe an hour later, a waitress takes an order. I don't know if there was an actual word vocalized here.

Oh, I forgot another character where Smith's blows off a woman with a deep voice, and we're supposed to be like YEAH BRO YOU TOTALLY SHOWED HER.

So of the four total visualized women, and the three that I can confirm actually said an entire word or more, two of them are getting dissed.

What a great movie!

This definitely needs to be re-reviewed. The original reviewer claims there are no named female characters based on his rating of 0 out of 3 criteria.

But the movie clearly names Agent O (played by Emma Thompson and Alice Eve). It makes me question the validity of this review.

Someone else who has seen the movie, please provide an accurate review.

The movie definitely doesn't pass the Bechdel test, but Agent O is a named character that exists. I'm not sure there's any need to be snide about it not passing the test, either. A dispassionate voice sends the message better than sarcasm.

The test states it needs two named female characters, if Agent O is the only one it still doesn't pass the first test.

The only named female character in the movie is Agent O. She happens to be played by 2 different actresses.

Wait, are you seriously counting young O and middle-aged O as two different named characters?
