Izole disagreed with the rating and said:
I recently watched the movie and I saw only one named female in the movie. So it doesn't pass any part of the test.

Actually two named females: Blake Lively as the Carol Ferris, and Angela Basset as Amanda Waller. I don't know anything about Lively in her other stuff, but Basset was probably the best thing about this remarkably uninteresting effort.

@Izole Which character didn't you see, Blake Lively or Amanda Waller?

Just because I've seen a disturbing lack of commentary on it elsewhere, can I bring up that the climax of this film hinges on Carol being made ugly- and that this is so horrifying that green lantern actually gives up his lantern ring to prevent it? That's some pretty strong misogyny right there.

@Perfectly Idiomatic: Leaving a few bits off there, aren't you? It's pretty well established that Carol would also have gone insane and become a psychopath as a result of having Parallax in her body.

Also, Hal knew that the ring couldn't be used against him; the peril of the decision was mostly perceived by the audience, not the character.
