Although the women in thsi film rarely speak, let alone to each other, the director Kelly Reichardt is making an implict statement about male power by the fact they are not allowed or feel unable to speak when decisions are being made.

I do think this film might technically fail the test, but I agree with you, Jennifer, that this is an important part of the film.

It misses the Test. Clearly there are more than two women.
But the only scene which might be not about men is the one when they talk about that they are "... doing nigger [sic! ] work".

The implicit statement might be correct, but the test is about gender presentation, not about feministic movie interpretations.

I agree with Andy. This film does not pass all three rules.

I think this might actually pass? About 22 minutes in, we see the following conversation:

Emily Tetherow: Mr. White, Glory. I brought some bread to share.
Glory White: It's much appreciated, Emily.
Emily: It's my pleasure. I have some stew too, if you'd like it. I know you would.
Glory: No, no, this is enough. Thank you.
