There are three named women in the movie, and I think they spoke to each other on a few occasions; Mrs Atwater discussing "that new thing at the Strand" with Janet, for example.

Yes, and there's a part when the maid warns Janet that the pate has a lot of calories in it. Not exactly a major plot point but I think it should get 2/3

You can see all three prominent female characters in the clip below. Janet, Mrs. Wilson, and Mrs. Atwater. I don't see how anyone who had actually seen the film could have failed it.

Janet and Mrs. Atwater have a lon chat about movie stars and their zodiacal sings, but Ruper Cadell is present and ends entering to the conversation and mocking both women. So it is not really a oman-to-woman conversation, so IMO it doesn't count.

Also mrs. Wilson warns Janet aboutthe pate, but Janet doesn't talk back, that I recall. So not a conversation eiter.

There are several named women who talk to one another about movies (not a man).

0/3 is indefensible. Mind, the characters don't have names in the credits, but they are named in the film (the credits feature each character's relationship to the murder victim).

It passes 3 for 3. The fact that this film is not very feminist and that the characters are not strong is irrelevant to the test.

I also agree that the movie passes 3/3 due to the zodiac sign conversation. It's not a particularly stellar pass since they quickly switch to talking about men's signs but it's a pass nonetheless.

0/3 is just plain wrong when there's three named and important female characters.
