"Orlando" is a case per se. In at least one substory of the film - with Russians on the frozen Thames - , there are two characters talking about things of mutual interest. I think differences between men and women are the topic (on the surface). But as both characters happen to be played by female actors (Charlotte Valandrey and Tilda Swinton), and the dialogue is multi-layered (it's a Virginia Woolf story), this film has definitive Mo Movie Measure value.

This is an absolutely wonderful movie.
Starring the lovely, androgenous Tilda Swinton playing a character who lives, wildly, for 400 years while magically changing gender a number of times.
No she's not a vampire. Elizabeth, played by Quinten Crisp, gives Orlando direct orders not to age. This movie is a total trip. The see 'Yes', also by Director Sally Potter.
The story is an adaptation of Virginia Wolfe's novel 'Orlando'. Do not wait! See it NOW.
