Bechdel Test Movie List

Tremors is a homage to/parody of 1950's monster movies. Along with several male characters, it features four major female roles: a seismology grad-student, a married survivalist, and a single vaguely hippy-ish artist and her young daughter. While the film is enjoyable, and the female characters are all well-done (particularly the student), it just barely passes the test, with the survivalist and the artist having a brief exchange about the giant burrowing worm-monsters that are the film's menace:
Artist: "You two are just loving this, aren't you?"
Survivalist: "There's no need to get personal about this, Nancy.."

Another brief conversational exchange happens between Rhonda and Heather when the whole group is stuck on boulders near the end. Heather Gummer (survivalist's wife) remarks that the group has given up and Rhonda (geology student) replies that the graboids will just wait until they're dead.
