Disgusting sausage fest (is that inappropriate for this site ? =) )

4 main character sorcerers, all 4 are white men. A couple very minor characters are men of other ethnicities (like an ancient chinese dude).

The fifth main character is a very pretty female who spends the whole movie being "rescued" in bizarre ways by the socially awkward main character -- her sole role is to be progressively impressed by the MC's knowledge and abilities, and eventually to want to date him, all while looking hot and saying not much at all.

The other 2 female characters are both sorcerers - (so women CAN be sorcerers, they just can't have any screen time). One irrationally wants to destroy the world, and spends the last 10 minutes trying to do so before being stopped (even having a woman archvillain, the movies fails to give women any significant screen time). The second is the love interest of the OTHER main character, Nicolas Cage, and gets about 2 minutes of screen time after being rescued by him.

Extremely disappointing for both women and minority representation --

I would simply point out that the MC's love interest is really the one who saves the day. That doesn't really excuse anything, but tis something.

Also neglected a third female sorceror, the evil little girl, but I can't remember if she attacked the love interest or not. If not, she was merely a plot device and easily forgetable.

The movie does not pass, but I have to object to the use of the term "sausage fest". It's a sexist and degrading term referencing the characters genitalia, and I doubt it would be allowed on the site if a similar term had been used in regards to females. I do think women should be more represented in the film, but to refer to it as "disgusting" because it uses male characters is highly offensive.

Alice disagreed with the rating and said:
Abigail talks to Becky just before she captures her. I think she pretends she wants to request a song at the radio station Becky works at. It's a short scene, but it makes the movie pass the test.
