The focus of the movie is Kate (Meg Ryan), but it follows her journey to reclaim the heart of her straying fiance. Luc (Kevin Klein) is supposed to be more of a supporting character, but he has his own storyline. Can't say that about most female rolls in movies, especially when they're secondary characters, or playing opposite a man.
