Bechdel Test Movie List

Suzume, the main character, talks with several other female characters throughout the movie about topics unrelated to men. This is most notable with her conversations with her aunt, Tamaki, and Rumi, a single mother who gave her a ride and a place to stay during her journey. Suzume and Tamaki's interactions are particularly relevant to the plot and each of their character arcs, especially since Tamaki raised Suzume from a young age following the death of Tsubame, Suzume's mother and Tamaki's older sister. Suzume does talk about boys with another girl who she becomes friends with during her journey, Chika, but they do have non-boy related interactions, such as when Chika gave Suzume a change of clothes.
